Manual
Database
Updating
This section describes the steps you need to take to manually update
databases. Occasionally we may either send you an updated database,
post
one to our web site for you to download, or it is installed into the
PracticeMaker5 folder from the "Empty Database" installer on your
original CD. Any database that is new either
has
"new" as part of its name, such as "Patients
new.fp5"
or "RecordsPM new.fp5". It is possible that the extension
".fp5"
is not visible based on the operating system you are using.
To manually update a database simply double click on it and enter the
highest level FileMaker Password you were given. Then follow the on
screen instructions. At the end, PracticeMaker will quit allowing you
to manually rename the databases.
